Waifu Swap Mod
EXPERIMENTAL
EXPERIMENTAL
The Mod (Beta) feature enables users to replace the game’s original humanoid models with custom ones, providing players with flexibility to personalize their in-game experience.
Modding is a beta feature in AI2U, which means that bugs and unexpected issues may occur. For questions or help troubleshooting, contact support@alterstaff.io. Meanwhile, welcome to share your thoughts or requests in our Discord Server in the #waifu-swap-mods channel.
Remember: Only the NPCs' appearance will change—their yandere nature is always there! Mod responsibly and have fun.
(Optional) Prep your custom rig for the Mod Tool
Joint Assignment With the Mod Tool
Import Mods into AI2U
We highly recommend that you prep your custom rig before using the external Mod creation tool.
Supported model file type: FBX
Name the joints
In the Mod Tool, we are using the following 19 joints. For the best results, make sure your rig includes all of these joints and that they’re properly named. The more accurate the joints are named, the better the result from the auto assignment function.

Spine
Chest
Neck
Head
LeftShoulder
LeftUpperArm
LeftLowerArm
LeftHand
RightShoulder
RightUpperArm
RightLowerArm
RightHand
LeftUpperLeg
LeftLowerLeg
LeftFoot
RightUpperLeg
RightLowerLeg

Before you start:
Download the Mod Tool from the links below:
a. Google Drive- Windows Build (Recommended for players outside Mainland China): Link
b. 百度网盘 - Windows Build (Suggested for users in Mainland China): Link, Access code: tubg
The Mod Tool we developed currently only works on PC.
Open the Mod Tool
Click the ‘Import’ button located at the upper-left corner and select your model file from your computer.
3. After the rig loads in the viewport, you can assign the joints using one of two methods:
a. Auto Assigning: Click the Auto button to assign the joints automatically.
b. Manual Assigning: Use the dropdown menus to match each joint to the correct body part.
Unselected joints show a red indicator and selected joints show in green. The color doesn’t indicate whether you’re correctly assigned; it’s simply a reminder of whether a joint is selected for each body part.
Use the ‘Clear’ button next to each dropdown to reset your selections quickly.
A progress tracker on the right side under the console shows the number of joints remaining unselected.
If you are satisfied with the result, click ‘Generate Avatar’ located at the right hand side of the viewport. Then, click ‘Export’ located at the upper-right corner.
To test the joint assignment, select the ‘Dance’ button under the animation preview section and then click ‘Play Animation’ (upper-right of the viewport). Your custom rig will play a simple dancing cycle.
The Modded model would be exported to

You can rename the exported folder (in this case, "AI2U_Mod_Exports") to any name you prefer, and this name will appear in the in-game Mod Page.
Do not edit or remove any files in this folder, or the mod might malfunction or fail to load. Do not manually edit or delete any files in this folder, as it may cause the Mod to fail to load properly.
